The Catalan Government hides the salaries and expenses of the 'embassies' abroad

Ciudadanos have sent a huge complaint to the Prosecutor's Office for hiring a lobby that was paid more than one million euros to seek allies to the process of independence of Catalonia.

The Catalan government refuses to give an account of the salaries and expenses involved in the opening of delegations abroad, better known as 'embassies'. To questions of the opposition, the Executive of Quim Torra has maintained in the most absolute obscurantism the money that goes in these instruments of propaganda.

"We have asked several times, not only us, but other opposition groups, but they do not answer. The accountability of the Government, and especially the Foreign Ministry, has been conspicuous by its absence. They have always been very opaque in this matter, but Foreign takes the cake. Although it is also Trnasparencia's counseling, it is the least transparent of all. We do not know what the 'embassies' cost or the salary of the 'ambassadors', nor the salaries of the staff nor the expenses of representation. To know, we do not even know the agenda they have. Here no one gives explanations, "assures to El Confidencial Susana Beltrán, deputy of Ciudadanos and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
