Democracy is more than laws, but without laws, there is no democracy neither in Catalonia, nor in Spain nor anywhere in Europe
RULE OF LAW
ProU aims to show the European citizens that Catalonia is an open and plural society in which the majority believes in complying with the rule of law and in seeking social improvement through the existing constitutional channels, the Catalan and Spanish parliaments.
DEMOCRACY
ProU was born in response to the secessionist challenge of less than half of population which has created deep social breakdown and divide in Catalonia, yet regional government institutions have been hijacked by separatist parties which constantly challenge its democratic constitutional legal order and functioning to achieve independence via street agitation, public media control and forcing legislative changes without legal prerrogatives.
Pluralism
ProU seeks to higlight the pluralistic nature of Catalan society and the existence of very diverse proposals of solutions to the Catalan stalemate, provided they are respectful of the Spanish constitutional framework (including those which endorse its reform).
Citizenship
ProU categorically rejects the label "Un sol poble" (One People) used by secessionists to identify "good Catalans" (pro-independence) from "bad Catalans" (against-independence). The crucial divide today is not between "Catalonia vs. Spain" but between Catalans themselves!

KEYS OF THE TRIAL CARD 1

The Court is composed of the judges: Manuel Marchena (President and Rapporteur of the proceedings) Luciano Varela, Andrés Martínez Arrieta, Juan Ramón Berdugo, Andrés Palomo, Antonio del Moral and Ana Ferrer. All of them are part of the second Chamber of the Supreme Court and reached the judiciary through a competitive exam. Manuel Marchena and Antonio de el Moral are prosecutors also through a competitive exam and magistrates of the Supreme Court, Manuel Marchena since 2007 Antonio de el Moral since 2012...
