Scare in the independentists ranks

A part of the secessionist movement has escaped the control of the leadership.

Is a minority, but his radicality in the action gives him the power to blow up the pastoral story of the procés.

A new guest breaks into the Catalan hornets' nest one year after the seismic fall of 2017. It is an unprecedented factor, unexplored. And, most importantly, it has the ability to influence the evolution of the conflict.

Leaning over the cliff, the 'proces' leaders showed no symptoms of vertigo. They wanted to believe (or make believe) that the State would faint before. Most of them did not seem to falter before the judicial reaction to the bankruptcy of the constitutional legality.

But now, a chill suddenly crosses the spine of the independentist movement. A fear, an anguish. A part of the movement has escaped the control of the leadership.

This segment is minority, it is evident, but its radicality in the action gives it the power to blow up the pastoral story of the 'procés', reinforce the State's arsenal of argument and, above all, reduce the enthusiasm among the well-off independentistas, which are legion.

It is the first time that real terror is perceived in the secessionist headquarters. The excessiveness of the judicial persecution of the leaders of the 'proces' is not trivial, in fact, but at least it reinforces the pro-independence propaganda and crowns the imprisoned leaders with an epic halo.

On the other hand, this unprecedented fear is corrosive. And it does not come alone. It adds to the concern about Torra's political insolvency. The futility of the leadership of the 'president' is such that they have had to send him from jail the instruction to leave the rude and meet today with the President of the Government. Insolvency and irresponsibility are very cheap.

If Torra shamelessly raises the Slovenian flag, the conservative Casado wields the grim memory of the civil war. What sins this country must have committed to deserve such an unforgiving.
