Letter of love to Quim Torra from a Murcian from Barcelona

I admire you because you are a great strategist: it was enough that the Parlament surrounded the infuriated doctors and the firemen changed sides to release that marvel of the Slovenian way.

Beloved Comrade Quim,  A fucking Murcian from Barcelona is writing to you. I am one of those who are not part of the 'poble' because they do not want to: I am married to a Catalan woman and I live here, but I have not voted for you or your friends. I do not plan to do it. I admit that every time you refer to the 'poble' I think that to be part of that club is cool, if only for the songs and dances. You were enormous in the celebration of the summer colonies. You are in an enviable position: there is no other way of interpreting that you can allow yourself to call solidarity hunger strike to a 48-hour detox diet in a monastery. Expecting the advent of the republic with a scarce 50% support and with a state against it must also be a very entertaining posture. My problem is that I had to undergo surgery at the Hospital del Mar and chatting with overcrowded doctors definitely changed my vital horizons: for me, the 'poble' is to have the doctors at your side. And it seems to me that those who cured me do not plan to vote for you. Traitors!

I admire you because you are a great strategist: it was enough for the Parlament to surround the infuriated doctors and the firefighters switched sides so that you could decide to launch the next hurray and let go that marvel of the Slovenian way. Since then, your poodles of the CDR propose the collapse of this society that you love so much on December 21 and you encourage them from your throne with the clumsy gestures of a medieval Pope. It is true that there are loves that kill. They kill, at least, patience.

I think so much of you that I have learned to think like you. It does not seem to me casual that you are saying those barbarities after the result of Vox in Andalusia

But what I envy most of you is how you handle the Spanish media. At your command, your worst enemies are placed where you tell them as if they were hypnotized. It is obvious that you have hardened your rhetoric again because you want to recover your favorite 'status quo': talk about independence and apocalypse so that doctors, officials and others harmed by your 'procés' have no place to remember society, what is the 'poble' and what is not the 'poble', what really matters.

I think so much of you that I have learned to think like you. It does not seem to me casual that you are saying those barbarities after the results of Vox in Andalusia. You have in Madrid a soft government that has extended your hand in exchange for leaving independence for 25 years, and it is normal that it disturbs you. Without the dream of imminent independence, your 'poble' could wake up and side with your doctors, so you have prepared a road map so that Spain does not break for Catalonia, but inside.

You know that any word of you rises will take Vox voters from the deepest deposits of the PP and Ciudadanos.

You copy the biggest ones, which are Trump and Putin, and you know perfectly well that to strengthen your power you have to provoke the destruction of your adversaries. In the same way that Trump and Putin try to turn boring Europe into a nationalist minefield, you know that any outworn word will get Vox voters out of the deepest deposits of the PP and Ciudadanos. To have a soft Sanchez in front of you is epic and you want Abascal to take a horse ride through Madrid to call fascist a town that had not drawn flags until you threatened to burn them. It is for all these things that you will go down in history tomorrow, when sanity is reinstated where polarization has sown superfluous enmities. No statues will be made with your effigy, so you can abandon the weight loss diet and dedicate yourself to the great banquet your ancestors enjoyed. Tomorrow, when the tension you are creating has done enough harm to the good people, this letter of love from a Murcia will remain as a review and song of your deeds. And there will be little more to say, because you have decided so.
