Catalonia’s Secession Process at the Constitutional Court: A Never-Ending Story? Carmen PLAZA


Spain is undergoing its most severe political and constitutional crisis since the enactment of the 1978 constitution. In the las five years Catalan pro-independence parties have triggered a secession process which has been assited by Catalonia´s oublic institutions despite the lack of a public majirity in favour of independence. This process has been driven by the Government and Paliament of Catalonia in blatant breach of the Spain,s Constitution and deeply dividing its society.
