The president forces the 'conseller' to purge police responsible for the altercations in Girona and Terrassa
The reaction of the Govern exasperates agents and unions, who remember that there are 20 policemen wounded by hooded
Guillem Sànchez
The President of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, has reopened a crisis between the Government and the Mossos d'Esquadra to demand a purge in the Interior Ministry and the police dome after the action of regional agents during the riots of the Thursday, Constitution Day, in Girona and Terrassa as a result of the two mobilizations called by anti-fascist platforms, with the support of the CUP, against acts of the extreme right Vox party.
After Torra's appeal to the CDR to "tighten" hours after they painted and launched objects against the Mossos on October 1, the double play of the president has once again exasperated his own police.
On the one hand, the Government gives the order to its anti-riot to protect the demonstrations of Vox in Girona and Terrassa; on the other, it denies the police action deployed to comply with it.
The divorce also takes place two weeks before December 21, the date on which the CDR prepares a massive protest against the Government of Pedro Sánchez, which intends to bring together the Council of Ministers in Barcelona.
The scenario may again face pro-independence and Mossos protesters in the street. And with a Torra no one knows which side it will be on.
The ultimatum
On Thursday he was not on the side of the Mossos, and for that reason the 'president' turned the Conselleria d'Interior into a pressure cooker for the 'conseller' Miquel Buch, the secretary Brauli Duart and the director of the body, Andreu Martínez, who in the afternoon he had described the performance of the Mossos in Girona as "adequate and correct".
The three were imprisoned between Torra -and the CUP- and the bosses of the Mossos, who defended the proportionality of the actions in Girona and Terrassa and put the focus on the opposite side: the violence of the demonstrators. The balance of wounded of the System of Medical Emergencies (SEM) was 20 police officers for five demonstrators.
The unions of the Mossos describe the reaction of Torra of "serious irresponsibility", in the words of the spokesman of SAP-FEPOL, Toni Castejón, because it has put the "focus" on the agents instead of "condemning" the "organized attack of people violent "that the riot police suffered in Girona and Terrassa. USPAC, for its part, has asked Torra to rectify and take action precisely against these protesters. The internal platform of MosS.O.S., which brings together some 5,000 agents, directly asks you the following question:
"Do you want us to leave the violent campaign at ease in our cities?"
