 Izquierda en Positivo is, above all, a leftist party, and therefore we focus on social policies. In Catalonia, over the past six years- the years of  Procés -  nationalist claims have been systematically used to hide social problems, serious shortcomings have basic services such as health and education. In fact, bet right Catalan stoke  national conflicthad at first as a fundamental purpose, to weaken social movements on and off the powerful demonstrations against corruption and cuts that began with the 15-M movement in 2011. And the "success" of that strategy It is demonstrated by comparing the different magnitude that have had the "tide" by the Health, Education or pensions in two cities like Madrid and Barcelona.

But really, this comes from afar, because Catalonia has been for many years, thanks to the nationalist governments, leader and spearhead in privatizations, cuts and corruption among all Spanish regions. Leaders in diverting public funds to private educational leaders to create private consortia to manage public services such as health, and leaders in "bites" on public works and concessions, which also have gone to finance all the parastatal apparatus that has since served the procés.
About the deterioration of the Catalan public health, in recent years the figures are devastating. According to the Federation of Associations for the Defense of Public Health in Catalonia it is where we suffer major surgical waiting lists, with an average of 120 days, compared to 56 of 58 Rioja or the Basque Country.

We are also the undisputed leaders in waiting time for specialist consultation, with an average of 138 days and in primary care, and we are among the communities that less spending per capita allocated to health. And the data are outrageous in areas such as assessment of users, pharmaceutical expenditure, or number of operating rooms, beds and professionals per 1,000 inhabitants. And although the crisis and the cuts have affected all regions, Catalonia is the caboose in Health with Extremadura, Galicia and Andalusia, with an abysmal difference from La Rioja, the Basque Country and Madrid.

And besides, we are the first in the percentage of spending on contracting with private schools.

On the other hand, in  education  they have also been brutal cuts in recent years. We have very close: in some districts of Barcelona and Sant Andreu or Poble Nou there is an endemic lack of schools for years, and it is unacceptable the number of children who have to study in barracks or decrease of substitute teachers.

To this must be added the  tendency to homogenize the students  through an education that scorns diversity and seeks  to achieve the full development of the capacities of all students , but is conceived as an instrument to create a climate conducive to their interests .

Mouth inclusive school are filled, but in practice do not care at all to respond to the diverse needs of a diverse student body, as evidenced by the high rates of school failure and  bullying , especially among groups such as children and immigrants, but also among gifted children, those with TDH, dyslexia or fibromyalgia, not to mention the discrimination that unfortunately still suffers LGTBI group.
And, of course, mention the discriminatory treatment received by the Castilian-speaking students against the recommendations of UNESCO, for which it is essential that the first literacy learning occurs in the mother tongue, which is denied to more half of Catalan students. And the social harassment they have suffered the few brave families, such as Mataró or Balaguer, who have dared to enforce the judgments requiring that 25% of classes are taught in Castilian.

We denounce that, unlike what they wanted us to believe,  immersion has not eliminated a social inequalities that are growing, nor has it provided a social springboard for the subaltern classes, but, on the contrary, has of course, many boys and girls castellanohablantes consider their language and culture as little valuable and second category, and has hurt them in their learning process, so we demand unequivocally bilingualism in the classroom.

From LEFT IN POSITIVE reclaim, ultimately, the school serves to create a conscious and critical citizenship, which is taught to think for oneself, not to be obedient and submissive to power subjects. An educational model where the needs of everyone, where everyone feels comfortable, motivated to study and to develop their full potential, creativity and grow as people are met. Where nobody feels bad about being different, but proud of it and how this difference enriches the community.
It is clear that the priorities in the budgets of the various governments of Catalonia are not exactly basic services that guarantee the welfare of citizens. Just look at the huge amount of money they have dedicated to promoting  procés directly or indirectly subsidizing entities that promote  sentiment national. And they have done very well, attended the great increase this feeling among the public in recent years.

The nacionalsecesionistas fill their mouths with words like democracy, polls, or  dret decide . But  for them, democracy comes to social issues, we only have the right to decide what they want to decide, and urns only place to ask if we want to leave for Spain or yes, but not for us to say what education what health working conditions or what we want. As when they sent the Mossos to remove all ballot boxes multi referendum on social issues that citizens wanted to convene in 2014.

Men and women in Positive Left have a long history of struggle in social movements, and were among the most frequently deluded both with the outbreak of 15M, as the victory of the  candidates of change  in municipal -a 2015 which many of us and we modestly also contribuimos-. But since then, the political drift of figures like Pablo Iglesias, Alberto Garzón or Ada Colau been disappointed profundísimamente, as neither have been able to put the social agenda first, nor had courage to face nationalism retrograde in Catalonia; on the contrary, they have been responsible for many working class people and left path has finished voting for right - wing parties as citizens.

That 's why  we decided to establish ourselves as a political party for the thousands of citizens who reject alike nationalism and right - wing policies which are at bottom the same thing , are no longer orphans and have at last a option to represent them in the next elections , starting with municipal.
